Dong Yang

Dong Yang's is a Korean restaurant in the back of a grocery store and it is so good. You're not coming here for the atmosphere, well maybe you are, but the food is amazing. I'm told it's very authentic. I've not had Korean food other than in the states, so I don't really feel like I can truly judge its authenticity. Regardless, it's just good food. It's in Hill Top, part of Columbia Heights just north of the border with Minneapolis on Central. I went them because I was craving bi bim bop and friends told us this was the place to go for Korean food. The bi bim bop was good, but the bul go gee is even better, so that is what I get now. The missus really like the chap chae as do I, so we share entrees a little bit. Each dinner comes with an assortment of strange accompanyments. There's kim chee, sea weed, something like kudzu and a bunch of other stuff. Their hours are limited. I think they close at 7 or maybe 8 depending on the day, so plan accordingly. Now I need to go to Dong Yang's.
